On 25th November, 2018 awareness on violence against women was promoted and the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens stood firmly in support of ending the violence.
Violence is not inevitable it can be prevented. Yet, one in three women experience violence in their lifetime.
As Lions, we must do more to protect our girls and women, acknowledging that many women no longer feel safe in their homes, on the streets, at their jobs or while doing everyday activities. Ironically, in many cases, the violence is at the hands of someone they love.
